Your Family:
As a general rule, an application for an Australian visa may include the immediate family members such as your partner and dependent children. If you have other family members, such as a parent, who are dependent on you for financial support, then they may also be included on your application depending on the circumstances. You should obtain advice from one of our qualified agents regarding your individual circumstances.
Character Requirements:
To make a successful application for either a temporary or permanent visa for Australia, you are required to be of good character. You may be required to obtain a police certificate from each country where you have lived for 12 months or more during the past 10 years. We are able to provide you with details of how to obtain police certificates in each country.
Social Security:
Generally you may not gain access to social security benefits in Australia unless you are an Australian Citizen or have been a permanent resident for a period of two years. Detailed information about unemployment assistance, sickness benefits and student allowances should be referred to the relevant Australian Government authority or check the Federal Government website at www.fed.gov.au for up-to-date information.
Health Requirements:
All visa applicants and their family members will need to meet the Australian Government’s strict health requirements. This may involve having a medical examination undertaken by a doctor authorised by the Australian Government (also known as a “panel” doctor). We may provide you with details of doctors in your country that are authorised to perform medical examinations for Australian visa purposes.
