Significant Investor Visa

Australia is one of the most exciting destinations in the world and for years has attracted individuals from other countries in search for a better life. Unfortunately the number of people migrating to the country has continued to rise to the point that the government has been putting sanctions in place in order to monitor the situation. The powers that be are adjusting the visas and creating new ones in order to fit the many different applicants out there. The newest in their un-cataloged of visa options, the significant investor visa, is to be released November 24th 2012. This visa is made for those who are well off financially and are looking to both live and invest in Australia. If you are planning on taking money and investing it in various business, recreational services and other parts of Australia then you will want to start applying for a “significant investor” visa this fall.

Australia has been welcoming a large number of migrants for quite a while now, offering more visas to those who are aged 18-30 and ripe for the work force. Then there are visas for those transferring with a job and for those who possess a certain degree of education and are able to enter into specified labor positions. These visas are all different but have the same intentions of boosting the Australian economy and helping bring more money into the area. There are many people wanting to come to Australia but with visas like these and the upcoming changes Australia can make sure that they only get the people they can afford to take on. These options make migration a benefit for both the person applying and for the nation itself.

Chris Bowen has been the head of the Immigration and Citizenship department for some time and as acting Minister of the department he has been making some big changes in order to stop frauds from entering the country and keeping everything legitimate. With the number of people migrating to Australia are increasing up so quickly, there has also been a larger number of people who overstay their visas, don’t pay their fees in time, come to the continent with a fraudulent visa and find other ways of illegally staying in the country. As this number goes up Minister Bowen still admits most of those who overstay are just being forgetful but there are many people now migrating with completely fraudulent visas. That is why they have been cracking down on security and ensuring that only those approved get into the nation. It isn’t that difficult and there are many visas to apply for but you have to have something special to offer in order to migrate and that is difficult for some people. That is why the new Significant Investor visa is so important.

The Significant Investor visa is meant to spur on business innovation and investment programs in order to continue the history of success in business and national economy. Essentially by allowing people with millions to invest to enter the country easily they are opening the flood gates for foreign investors to come and take stock in Australia, building more companies, offering more jobs, fueling the economy, and bringing in new lucrative ventures. More jobs and more business means more money and it can make things much easier for anyone in the nation who is working, especially those hoping to start their own companies. Having more advantages for foreign investors means there are more investors willing to put their money into employment meaning more job opportunities.

Minister Bowen has started to give out more details on the Significant Investor visa such as saying that 5 million AUD was considered a baseline amount for significant differences in the continent to be made by the contribution. This number is settled on and is not likely to change for at least a year or so of the visa being implemented. He also stated that this visa requires you to be in Australia for at least 160 days a year after being approved, and that the visa will last for a minimum of four years. This is much more flexible than most other visas and that is to encourage businessmen to make the investment and still be able to travel when need be.

These visas are limited at the moment and only being offered to migrants who an have extremely high net worth, are able to prove a great deal of experience in the business market, or show that they are high profile investors. Eventually the visa will be made available to anyone who has the money to invest over 5 million AUD but for now this trial phase will continue to boost the Australian economy.

Australia continues to thrive because of the large number of migrants coming in and working jobs, creating more employment opportunities and bringing more money into the country. The government is doing a great job at taking advantage of this resource and with the new investor visa there has never been a better way to encourage someone to put their money into this spectacular country.

Minister Bowen and the people behind the Significant Investor visa have said they will release more information soon but for now these are all the details released. Only a month away and the new visa will launch and bring many new foreign investors to Australia. It’s going to be one of the most exciting changes to the way migration functions in Australia in a long time.
